Loads of clip art is only available in common vector formats, & logo's are usually more useful in common vector formats.
It's biggest faults are 1) it only imports. Sothink Logo Maker is an interesting app that may/may not suit you depending on your needs. Nicely done Source Tech! (But then I would expect nothing less from this company! Save | Cancel It isn't a vector package, but I feel it does have it's place out there. Like I said all in all quite a nice package. People who want the simplicity of a drag and drop solution without the need to take on the large learning curve of the pro grade software.
And even people like me who do own the Adobe products as a nice little extra.
Who might find this useful? People who do not own Illustrator or Photoshop.bear in mind Illustrator is the preferred software amongst professionals as it is a vector editor. You can't resize from the top or left nodes on it, you can only use right the and bottom nodes to resize. Jpeg output should not be an option at all for saving, not with simple logos.Simple clean logos should not be compressed with the jpeg compression engine.quality still suffer with this type of image. RGB color space is the one to use for websites and most home printers use either RGB or sRGB. It outputs files in RGB color space, meaning that were you needing to send to print, you'd need to take your logo into another editor to convert to CMYK color space, as this is what printer's use. small for business cards and very large for signage etc. It lacks the ability to output as any type of scable vector object, meaning you'd need to create the same logo in different sizes for different uses, i.e. swf files (didn't try this yet, so don't know how well this works out) Png with transparency export.good for bringing your creation into another editor for tweaking. You can ungroup some of the elements used in some of these sample logos and manipulate them to your liking. The pre-made templates are customizable and nice. You can resize (a few issues here.more later), rotate and skew design elements. The design elements, and I will not call them clip art because they are not 'cheesy', they are actual design elements, are simple and clean as they should be for a logo. While it can in no way replace Adobe's Illustrator or Photoshop, for anyone wanting to do a quick little something for a website or home print (more on this later) this will do a fine job.
